The foundation of Shanghai Golf Club in1896has symbolizedthe entering of golf game in China. But for many reasons, golf has slowed down inChina even it has a beforehand entering. Following the developing society, golf hasstarted to revive. Golf clubs have emerged in large numbers everywhere, but golf inChina still has a long way to go, lacking of management skills and professional playersmakes golf into a bad financial situation, and causes huge waste of lands and humanresources.Based on these problems, the writer has read a lot of related files and books inorder to analyze the fact of golf management in China. Under the curtain of thedevelopment of golf in Sichuan province, especially Grand-hill Golf in Sichuan, thewriter has visited many golf clubs, and interviewed the members, caddies and some keypersons in management board about some aspects like how to manage, how to make abrand, culture construction, also how to deal with the territorial competition in Sichuan,and hoping that the analyze could gives the Grand-hill Clubs some references.Through the analyzing, the tips for Grand-hill Clubs has concluded in followings:first of all, the play court needs more qualified including the greens, fairways and thecourts. Secondly, it needs a better service. Caddies should have a more professionaltraining system. Thirdly, the practice field could be utilized more efficient. Formanagement, it needs to be systemized, improving management skills, marketingmethods, and the cooperation between departments. For continuous development, theclub should focus on brand marketing as club in countryside, and stress on golf cultureconstruction, also pay attention on the innovation and popularization of related golfproducts. The club could work with the tourism department and companies to open up abigger market. To build up the client’s data base and analyzing system also could exploitthe client demands deeply, and it could be a good preparation for market research.
