With the continuous development of Information society, the technologies ofcomputer and network play an important role in more and more fields, particularly inthe field of education. But in the traditional, we teach and learn by the approach ofeducator teach and student listen, which can’t satisfy the individualized demand ofstudents and teachers. In practical, the students have the differences of personalized,such as background, experience, time, objective and efficiency. According to thestudent’s situation, the educator will use different teaching methods, contents, schedule,evaluation criteria etc. At the same time, virtual learning environment (VLE) arises, andis widely used in network-based education because of their features flexibly supportingteaching and learning activities and instructional management. VLE meets the demandsof students and educators, and improves the teaching efficiency in a certain extent. Butthere are also some shortcomings. Therefore, in this study, we focus our attention on anew model of VLE to meet the individualized requirements of educators and learners toa greater extent, thereby further optimizing the efficiency of teaching and learning. Firstly, this paper describe the requirements of educators and learners, then basedon the study of existing virtual learning environment systems, and taking individualizedcreation and performance of educational processes as the core, we focused on theproblems that how to set up various Non-linear learning sequences and comprehensiveexecution conditions of learning Units. Then, a model of virtual learning environmentwas proposed and implemented. The study can efficiently meet the individualizedrequirements of educators and learners, thereby further optimizing the efficiency ofteaching and learning. In addition, this paper presented a instruction experiment that wecarried out on the system to prove the study is correct, effective and successful.
