Along with the computer network technology, multimedia technology, communications technology development and the extensive application in education, more and more adult learners in network environment in their learning activities, more and more courses through the network course teaching content, form and conduct educational and teaching activities, network learning has become the mainstream of society learning style. Through access to literature, we found that psychology has closed the metacognition research very much, but most of the research is the study of the classroom learning in metacognition, the corresponding network learning metacognition research and the results are less. However the metacognitive ability is considered to be the key to learning network. That is to say, and learners’metacognitive ability is higher, the better the effect of network learning, and vice versa. Computer based learning under network environment is considered to be a learner autonomy learning (Zhuang Kejun,2008), through a large number of literature research, autonomous learning under the network environment requires students to have flexibility in the use of metacognitive strategies, and implementing effective metacognitive monitoring, in order to obtain the good learning effect, thus learning under the network environment for learners’metacognitive ability raised taller requirement.Metacognition is one of the important research topics of cognitive psychology, the main idea is the cognitive process of self-regulation, including cognitive knowledge and cognitive regulation on two aspects. In cognitive psychology, learning is not only a means to identify, processing and understanding the cognitive processes, but also on the process of effective monitoring, regulation of the metacognitive processes(Ni Lijun,2005). Metacognitive process is considered to be the key of independent learning, is to promote effective learning key elements, often with" learning ability"," learning to study"," success learning" together(Ma Xiaoyan,2007). Therefore, metacognition in learning under the network environment has very important influence, must pay great attention to the research on metacognition.In order to study under the network environment the learners metacognitive mechanisms of action, based on the existing literature on the basis of the analysis to establish the design concept model, using the method of questionnaire on Shaanxi Normal University180network learner survey, from the learners’metacognitive ability, survey of learner metacognition and learning self-efficacy, and with the help of SPSS and AMOS two statistical software, through the questionnaire reliability and validity analysis of presupposition, model testing and correcting, forming a structure equation model, on the basis of the analysis of learner metacognition and learning self-efficacy correlation, clear the metacognitive learner in network environment the role and influence. The results show that: Metacognition between three dimensions interaction and influence, but not directly to the network learning efficacy function. In the study of network learner metacognition and learning self-efficacy in the relationship between the significant correlation, and through path analysis identified three dimensions of metacognition and learning self-efficacy path relation, put forward monitoring of metacognition is the core of metacognitive ability. On this foundation, analysis of the network learners’metacognitive ability sex, discipline and network learning time difference analysis. At last, this paper concludes with network environment on learners metacognitive support strategies:either from metacognitive three component proceed with, develop the network learners metacognitive ability; also in the network teaching platform design and metacognitive support tools, thereby improving the learners’Metacognitive ability. This study to clarify the network learner’s cognitive mechanism, in order to design a better on-line metacognitive support, improve the quality of network education has the significance for reference and guidance.
