Biology is a natural science based on experiments, the teaching of which playsan essential role in biology classes. With the promotion and wide use of the NewCourse Standard, teaching materials have been adjusted and modified in many ways,the most outstanding of which is that many inquiring into experiments are increased.Exploratory experiment is receiving increasing attention, but the rural high schoolbiology inquiry experiment teaching situation is worrying. Heyuan is aunder-developed city in Guangdong Province. I had worked in rural senior highschool in Heyuan city for four years, as I communicated with other rural high schoolbiology teachers, Heyuan rural high school generally did not carry out inquirybiological experiment teaching. There are many reasons for this phenomenon,such asthe teacher concept being backward and there being not enough class hours.This thesis introduces the practice of the inquiring into experiment carried out inLongchuan Tianjiabing Middle School in the past half years under theinquiring-into-experiment theory. The expectation of this thesis is, through theinquiring into experiment, to raise the students’ scores, actively construct knowledgein the inquiring way, perceive scientific methods in the process of construction andimprove scientific quality. It is my hope that their inquiring into experiment can provethat carrying out the inquiring into experiment in the rual high school biologyteaching is effective and feasible. This thesis uses the literature methodology,investigation method of the questionnaire, the education test and so on to conduct theresearch into the theory and the practice of the inquiring into experiment in the highschool biology course.A half year of teaching practice showed that carrying out the inquiring intoexperiment in Heyuan rural high school biology teaching is effective and feasible.Theinquiring into experiment teaching can improve students’ experimentalquality,stimulate students’interest in learning biology,improve the ability to design and improve learning achievement in biology.According to the experimental results above and concerning the therories, thispaper puts forward suggestions about inquiry experiment teaching in rural highschool.
