With a large proportion of the rural population, China is a typical agricultural country. In order to build a new socialist countryside with Chinese characteristics, the government has formulated goals of building a new socialist countryside, which are to speed up the pace of new rural construction, to promote the development of production, to strengthen democratic construction, to establish a new wind of civilization and to build a harmonious environment. This paper is to further understanding its future under this circumstance. By re-examining and researching the rural vocational education. Taking Heyuan city as example, by investigation and on-the-spot investigation, This paper focuses on vocational education and training of some towns with characteristic industry developments in Heyuan.By researching, it was found that in recent years, although the concern of Vocational Education development in rural areas of Heyuan social has increased, there are still many difficulties. First, inadequate funding for occupation schools causes the lack of hardware facilities and practical training centers. Secondly, ignoring the actual needs of rural areas, many majors are unreasonable, which resulting in imbalance between supply and demand, as well as talent allocation. Finally, the shortage of teachers and the quality of teaching are also problems.In conclusion, five suggestions are given as following. Firstly, the Government should pay attention to and improve the social status of vocational education. Secondly, the government should improve the three training network(county-township- village) with larger investment. Thirdly, schools should be more clear about talents in need of rural areas. Fourthly, agriculture-related professional should be strengthen. Fifthly, the management system of rural vocational education should be improved in order to create a good environment for development.
