Resources of movies are of a great importance in the teaching ofChinese. This essay mainly focuses on the discussion of the presentsituation of Chinese proficiency of the junior and senior middle school studentsin the Guang Zhou School for the Deaf.It also shows how resources of moviesinfluence the teaching of Chinese in deaf schools, as well as how to makegood use of these resources to improve the Chinese abilities of the deafstudents of middle school.The Significance of the studies is to introduce the abundant ofresources of movies, combined with multi-angles, multi-channels andmulti-forms of instruction, to the teaching of Chinese in deaf schools.This method will provide a new learning model to the deaf students ofmiddle school, which may stimulate their learning and therefore improvethe abilities of Chinese proficiency. At present, there is no studyspecializing in the combination of resources of movies and the teachingof Chinese in deaf schools. This study, as a complement to the teachingof Chinese in deaf schools in China, specializes in how to improve deafstudents’ Chinese abilities by the application of resources of movies.This paper consists of six parts. The first chapter introduces thebackground of the studies, the basic connotation of hearing impairmentand resources of movies, as well as the problems of teaching in deafschools and the innovation of this research. The second chapterillustrates the present situation of Chinese learning of deaf studentsin middle school. The third chapter analyzes how resources of movies willinfluence the teaching of Chinese in deaf schools. The fourth chapteranalyzes how resources of movies will improve deaf students’ Chineseproficiency through reading, writing and oral communication. The fifthchapter makes a list of suggestions on how the application of resourcesof movies will develop greater function in the class teaching of Chinese in deafschools.The sixth chapter is the conclusion of this paper...
