Under The Network Environment The Distance Learners’ Learning Ability Promotion Strategy Research

With our country proposing clearly to construct the learning society and promotethe lifelong learning of public, the lifelong learning and u-learning become the first needof information age. In the information society, the leaning changes from both thecontent and the form with the propelling of information technology. The technologies’supporting function on learning gets wide attention of people, and learning supported bytechnologies becomes primary ways for people to learn. So how to study in thetechnology environment also becomes a chief problem of constructing learning society.The network-based distance education can bring the sharing of high quality educationresources and enlarge the scale of education, satisfying the learning needs of manylearners during the construction of learning society. With the popularization of internet,network-based distance education and e-learning will become primary ways for thepublic, and how to study in the network environment and improve the effects of studyfor distance learners will be a focus. Learning capacity is the comprehensive reflectionof learning abilities and emotional attitude of learners, which will directly influence thestudy way of them, learning persistence and effects etc. And so how to improve thelearning capacity of the learners is the focus of this paper.Based on this cognition, this paper combs in detail the concept and components oflearning capacity, and puts forwards the author’s opinion on that basis. Moreover, thispaper analysizes the features of learning capacity in the network environment and itsrelationship with network learning activities and network learning environment, andmakes investigation on current situation of distance learners’ learning capacity in thenetwork environment from perspectives of learning awareness, learning attitudes, andlearning abilities of them. Based on these, this paper proposes related strategies andmodes to improve learning capacity, and draws conclusions as followings:(1)Toimprove the distance learners’ learning capacity is to make them grasper all kinds ofbasic knowledge in the network environment and improve network learning abilitiesand form the emotions, attitudes in the network environment, and finally makes themgain a kind of essential strength of studying spontaneously and overcoming studyproblems.(2) To improve the distance learners’ learning capacity should proceed fromdifferent elements of learning capacity, and take different measures targeted to different ones.(3) To improve the distance learners’ learning capacity should applydifferent levels of strategies according to the three stages step by step.(4) To improvethe distance learners’ learning capacity means to overcome all kinds of elementswhich restrict the improvement of learning capacity, and this paper puts forward thestrategies of the improvement of learning capacity from levels of the macro, meso andmicro by dint of various support elements of learning capacity.
