| Multimedia aided foreign language teaching is the main trend in foreign languageteaching at present, and also a great innovation. Multimedia aided foreign languageteaching introduces text, figure, video, sound, and teaching software of this kind intoteaching practice, so it can enrich teaching method, optimize English class structure,make teaching more interesting and entertaining, and help to attain better teachingresult.Most of high school English teachers in our country begin to realize theadvantages of multimedia aided foreign language teaching nowadays, but most of themstill mistake multimedia aided foreign language teaching for initial PPT aided mode.Aimed at the present situation, this thesis begins with the scientific definition ofmultimedia, analyzes the existed multimedia forms possibly to be applied to Englishteaching and their teaching characteristics systematically, analyzes their possibleapplication modes in English Listening, Speaking, Reading, and Writing aidedteaching, and carries on the teaching practice in actual teaching.
