| Since the sixties of last century, the application of multimedia technology in the field of education is more and more pervasive. The multimedia technology becomes a new element in the development of modern education. Along with the development of pre-school education, the using of multimedia technology in teaching is increasingly rifeness, multimedia is used more and more in teaching practice in kindergartens. The exploitation of multimedia teaching resource and the teachers' poor multimedia skills have become an outstanding problem. In the case of inadequate teaching resources, how can the kindergarten teachers develop and use the multimedia teaching resources, manage a proper multimedia-based learning activities, and promote the pre-school childern' development, have become a problem that calls for immediate solution.There are five parts in this thesis,Part I:The first part tells the background, the context, the significance and the novelty of the research.Partâ…¡:In the second part, the related concepts in the field of multimedia-aided teaching and early childhood education were introduced, and the research on multimedia assisted instruction and its application in children's English teaching were summarized. After that, the characteristics and particularity of pre-school children's English learning was analyzed. In combination with some theory of pre-school children's English teaching, the advantages of multimedia in this area were explained, which is a basement of this research.Part III:Introduction to research design of this thesis. The purposes of this research is to know some information about the kindergarten teachers' application of multimedia, to search the problems about multimedia assisted teaching in kindergarten, and to propose effective ways to use multimedia technology in kindergarten. The experimental investigations were done in six representative kindergartens in Xi'an. The used research methods include literature study, questionnaire survey, interviewing method and classroom observing method.Part IV: Presentation the results of multimedia using in pre-school children's English teaching, the statistical results are analyzed and summarized, and obtained the problem of Multimedia used in pre-school children's English teaching. Problems are manifested in the follow way. The teachers don't use multimedia teaching resources in right place, not grasp multimedia instructional design theory fully, and weak in multi-media skills, multimedia equipment maintenance is not enough, inadequate training and other issues of multimedia. I believe that because of these problems:the multi-media teaching in kindergarten is not recognized, the dropping behind education concept, lack of multimedia teaching resources, the training of kindergarten teacher can not be consistent with the teaching needs, the capacity of teachers' multi-media teaching resource exploitation is weak; Multimedia management is not in place and so on. Combined with the teaching case that multi-media used in pre-school children's English.Pointing out teachers should follow the design of multimedia requirements.Part V: About the about related problems, three strategies to optimize multimedia application in kindergartens were proposed. First, it is necessary to strengthen the kindergarten teachers' awareness and skills of multimedia teaching. Second, several principles for multimedia-aided children's English learning were given based on Richard E. Mayer's multimedia-aided education theory, which can be good references for kindergarten teachers to develop teaching sources. Third, continuously updated library of multimedia resources, and manage them properly. |
