The vocational education is one of the most important components in modernnational education system, and it is an important foundation for economy. Thedevelopment of vocational education is a way of accelerating New TypeIndustrialization and promoting socialist construction, a necessary condition fordeveloping modern education. Higher vocational education, as an important content invocational education, has made a remarkable progress in recent years. However,vocational colleges have encountered a series of problems when developing fast, oneoutstanding problem is the performance appraisal for vocational college teachers inhuman resource.The personnel training mode of higher vocational education is defined by moderneducation experts: if higher vocational education wanted to train talents differentiatedwith academic talents, the key point is to train practical technique talents who areurgently needed by enterprises. The practical mode of higher vocational educationrequires teachers in vocational colleges adopting appropriated teaching mode, so itraises the standard for teachers in vocational colleges. In view of this requirement,teachers in vocational colleges need to have not only the academic knowledge, but alsoprofessional skills in practice. Therefore, the permanent development of highervocational education is based on an appropriate performance appraisal. This appraisalmust suit the teachers in vocational colleges and the requirement for higher vocationaleducation.This dissertation analyses the present situation and the degree of satisfaction ofperformance appraisal system by the case from one vocational college in Chongqing.This dissertation points out that most of the teachers are not satisfied with presentperformance appraisal system, and it also summaries issues of the performanceappraisal system in that vocational college. The author rebuilds the performanceappraisal system and valuates the practicing effect in that vocational college by usingrelevant theories and multiple ideologies. In the end, the author generalizes the solutionsof the performance appraisal system in vocational colleges.
