In the beginning of20st century, academia has begun the research of occupiedcompetence. At present, basically on learning and referring from foreign theories andmodels, the current domestic about competence research focus on its meaning,formation and modes. At the same time, we are creating some new theories based on thelocal condition. Because of lacking of a longitudinal study concept, these researches arestill staying in the theoretical exploration stage. We should put them into practice.Especially for the particular culture background in China, Universities and enterpriseshasn’t paid enough attention to the professional ability of the undergraduate occupiedcompetence, and exploring the undergraduate competence cognition based onuniversities and enterprises has become a real issue.At first, this article determined the meaning and content of competence byliteratures. The second, by using interview method to do qualitative research. In thestudy,12teachers who worked in the university and10managers who work in thedifferent enterprises were selected to as our research. In the result, construct2categories and18competence generics and4Influence factors which have importantsignificance to undergraduate. Therefore, a questionnaire was designed which is basedon the results of qualitative research through a wider sampling of undergraduateresearch competence. It is good to test the classification is reasonable. At the same time,by analyseing the quantitative data to analysis emphasis and blind on the competencebased on universities and enterprises. At last, according to the result of qualitativeresearch and quantitative research, the article will explore influence factors which haveimportant significance for undergraduates, and make suggestions how to develop theundergraduates’ competence.The article focus on the formation and development of undergraduate competence,and through paying attention to competence development theory to make universitiesand enterprises pay enough attention to the professional ability. Last but not least, thisarticle provides a theoretical basis for universities to adjust professional structures, andgives some references of staff training for enterprises in the future.
