Teachers performance assessment is the inspection andevaluation in college and university according to its owndevelopment strategy and mission, which is one of the important workof the College Personnel Management. Scientific and reasonableperformance evaluation method can stimulate the enthusiasm of theteachers’ work, help them to achieve their personal goals, and also canhelp college to build a team of high-quality teachers, promoting thecollege’s own development. Therefore, the major colleges anduniversities are looking for new reforms to mobilize the enthusiasm of theteachers, trying to use the method of performance management topromote the development of teachers being mature. It is becoming to themain trend of the introduction of performance management in universitiesThis article is aimed to explore performance assessment methods forTibet University teachers, make a sound set of feasible system for teacherperformance appraisal. It is mainly reflected in the five aspects such as“moral, diligence, and achievements, inexpensive" in teacherperformance appraisal methods of Tibet University today. Though theseassessment methods achieved certain results, there are still manydrawbacks. It’s necessary to reform these methods.In this paper, I made a summarize of other college and universities athome and abroad by literature reviews method and comparative researchmethod on teacher performance appraisal, so as to use their goodmethods. This article by taking the data collection, data research,questionnaires, focus interviews, To make a depth understanding of theteacher performance appraisal status of Tibet University, I used manymethods such as taking the data collection, data research, makingquestionnaires and focus interviews. After making the analysis of theresults of the survey, I made a set of feasible teacher performanceassessment methods for Tibet University by combining with its owncharacteristics and social environment of its own. By the main method of360-degree performance appraisal, I made the assessment work to dailyassessment, year-end assessment and engagement examination three stages, based on the method of combining qualitative and quantitativeresearch. The evaluation index system consists of three assessments suchas basic quality assessment, process assessment and assessment of results.The Chapters V and VI are the most important chapters, in which I madea detailing teacher performance assessment process of Tibet Universityand improved countermeasures and suggestions of teacher performanceappraisal work for Tibet University. This article is to make smallcontribution for the performance management of Tibet University.
