Writing ability plays an essentials part in students’ Chinese language learning,which determines that teaching of composition is very important in Chinese languageteaching among primary and middle schools. Living in remote areas where theeconomic and cultural development are comparatively backward, the writing level ofthe students is lower, and much difficulties occur when they write such compositions.As a result, it is of great significance to acquire the reality of these difficulties, to findout the reasons scientifically, and to search effective approaches to deal with thesedifficulties. This is also an important subject in the study of Chinese languageeducation. The author has been engaging in Chinese language teaching in ruralprimary and middle schools for a long time. He chose this subject with the purpose ofconcluding and promoting personal experiences, what’s more, with the purpose ofdeepening primary school Chinese language teaching in the implementing the newcurriculum.There are five parts in this thesis.The first part is the introduction, which introduces the origin, purpose,significance, idea and method, and the literature review of the study.The second part is the rational thinking about the rural students’ narration writing.In this part, the study mainly introduces the lexical characteristics and writingrequirements of narration, the research results both in writing development at presentand the educational reform in writing during the past thirty years, and theirimplications in rural primary students’ writing training.The third part are the investigation and analysis on main difficulties of currentrural pupils’ narrative writing. This paper describes the writing difficulties from theconceptions and expressions. The conceptual difficulties are as follows: hard to makeselection, hard to arrange the order of writing, hard to make the beginning, hard tomake a specific idea on writing, hard to grasp the top priorities. The difficulties ofexpressions lie in: having barriers to convert between students’ dialects and modernChinese written words, lacking of insufficient excellent language leads to a poorlanguage. The fourth part are the coping strategies for main difficulties of current ruralpupils’ narrative writing. The proposed strategies are as follows: writing teaching inrural primary schools should be based on current curriculum standards which sets inthe language teaching composition training system for the basic training sequence.Using "Comparison","avoiding of the big or small’’,’’avoiding of the samedifferences’’ to overcome the arrangement of ordering. Using "method of logicalsequence","method of reverse "and "center opening method’’ to deal with difficultiesin composition top priorities. Through creating of "a good Mandarin speechenvironment ","practicing on conversion between dialect and the written words" todeal with difficulties in expressions.Chapter five is the conclusion of the study, which states about some personalopinions in the process of the study.
