Modern prose reading teaching is the language teaching important component, itis always the senior high school entrance examination and college entrance examinationproposition to test for the main content, but the prose teaching has long been confusedwith the majority of teachers and students.In this paper the predecessors of the proseteaching on the basis of the study, taking the city of Zhongshan Wuguishan schooljunior middle school reading teaching as an example, combining the actual situation ofChinese teaching, using the methods of literature research, case study method, surveymethod, interview method, comparative method, comprehensive analysis method, thefurther research on modern prose reading teaching, aimed at understanding the prosereading teaching basic situation, found the problem, puts forward a solution.This paper from the definition of the concept of modern prose, essays on modernmain feature, type, teaching requirement proceed with, to the modern prose readingteaching status survey and analysis, and on the high school students’ reading interest,reading prose plight predicament analysis.On the prose reading in Chinese teachingmaterials in senior high school entrance examination, the proportion in proportionanalysis.On the modern prose reading in the papers of easier problems are concluded,the prose teaching problems and errors analysis. Integrate theory with practice, to themodern prose reading teaching strategies for further improvement, in the understandingof prose reading teaching basic strategy on the basis of the prose style, teaching strategysubdivided into narrative prose teaching strategy, with lyrical prose teaching strategy,philosophical prose teaching strategy; modern prose reading teaching strategy is dividedinto three section type "case study" teaching strategy and text processing teachingstrategies, to deal with the problems in teaching, teachers and students to help out of theprose teaching, learning difficulties.In the task of strategy in the course of the study,which will provide some teaching examples, for the exchange of everyone, study,reference, reference, the purpose is to improve the teachers’ professional level and scientific research ability, improve the quality of teaching, cultivating students’ readingunderstanding, comprehension, appreciation and evaluation ability, expected gain.
