The self-taught examination system of China was born in1981, so far it has been walking out a30-years old road of prosperity and development, and has become an essential educational form in Chinese adult education field. Also the Chinese self-taught examination system is the biggest adult advanced-study and national high level educational examination system all over the world. Among the army of self-taught examination students, the full-time self-taught examination students are a rather special group. They are educated in the same way of the ordinary full-lime university students, they study on the campus, they live in the university dorms. However the full-time self-taught students are different in every way from the ordinary university students. Most of these students are the flunked ones of current collage entrance examination, their learning abilities, learning interests, learning motivations are commonly lower than the ordinary university students, in general they appear the lack of sufficient confidence. Now we are in the second decade of the21st century, the self-taught exam system is undergoing a transformation. The full-time self-taught system has to change itself to adapt the progress and development of our time. And the question of low confidence which is bothering the students and the educators, must to be solved by finding out some corresponding educational countermeasure.This essay take some N university full-time self-taught examination class for an individual case, by the way of observation, questionnaires and interviews, to make a total investigation to the confidence situation of the students group, to know every aspects of the students’lives, including total feelings of studying lives, the evaluations to the teachers, pressure and anxiety, evaluations to the class instructor and so on. Then take an analysis over all data, tiy to find out the key problem and try to figure it out by making some corresponding educational countermeasures.Chapter one introduces the beginning of this study, the research background, the meaning of this research, the relevant documents, study ways and clarification of the main definitions. Chapter two mainly illustrates the results of the questionnaire and interview about the self-taught class students’confidence situations, and analyzes them comprehensively. Chapter three mainly discuss the educational countermeasures to the full-time self-taught examination students’confidence problem in the ways of educational policy, psychological lead, teachers’trainings, educational management.
