Research On Optimizing Liao Ning Provincial Higher Educational Structure And Revitalizing Its Old Industrial Bases

Higher educational structure refers to the relations and proportions of components in higher educational system. The most direct and intense factor that affects the structure and distribution of higher education is social and economic structure. Higher educational structure should serve economic structure and promote social and economic development. It is also affected and limited by social economic structure, so it should adapt to social economic structure.This paper, based on the arguments about the relationship between educational structure and social economic structure, especially regional economic structure, fully analyzes the history and current situation of Liao Ning provincial higher educational structure, and its planning of economic development the strategy of revitalizing Liao Ning old industrial bases). And accordingly, it provides some strategies and suggestions for such issues as how to better Liao Ning higher educational structure and how to make the structure adapt to the provincial economic development.This paper is composed of three partsPart one introduces theories related to higher educational structure and regional economic development. It includes the ones that higher educational structure should not only serve economic structure, but also promote social economic development. And it is also affected and limited by social economic structure, especially regional economic structure, so it should adapt to regional social and economic structure.Part two analyzes by practical cases that the history and current situation of the structure and the distribution of Liao Ning provincial higher education. It includes the history and current situation of Liao Ning higher education structure, the future goal of economic development for Liao Ning traditional industrial bases, and surveys in the adaptation of Liao Ning higher educational structure to its economic development.Part three provides some suggestions about bettering Liao Ning higher educational structure so as to adapt to the strategy of revitalizing Liao Ning old industrial bases, which are based on both the surveys in the adaptation of Liao Ning higher educational structure to its economic development and some valuable experiences from advanced countries and developed areas in China. It includes positioning the functions of colleges and universities reasonably, cultivating talents of all levels to satisfy the demand of economic development, promoting the development in higher education in the local towns and small cities, and enhancing the pulling function of higher educational structure to economy.
