With the rapid development of modern information technology, integratinginformation technology into mathematics textbook has become a widespread trend of themany national mathematics textbooks, especially in senior high school. In mathematicstextbooks of many countries all over the world, information technology is not only apresentation means, but also has become an important tools and means of mathematicalinquiry (especially mathematical modeling). From the present several versions of seniorhigh school mathematics textbook in our country, there is great difference in integrationdegree, as well as lots of controversy. This paper selects the Australian and ChinesePeople’s Education Press (Edition A) senior high school mathematics textbook as theresearch object, to compare the differences of the technology using.Firstly, this paper compares the concept and requirements of technology usingbetween Australia and China, and summarizes related research through literature. Then weconstruct index system according to "technological tools, presentation, content, applicationform" and technology using level, and finally establish analysis framework of technologyusing in textbooks. On the basis of statistics of the technology using in the Australia andChinese mathematics textbooks, we make quantitative and qualitative analysis. On the onehand we compare the differences of technology using between Australia and Chinesesenior high school mathematics textbooks, on the other hand we obtain the enlightenmentto technology using in our Chinese textbook from the comparison. The main conclusions isthat technology using in China and Australian senior high school mathematics textbooksare mainly fusion, present through examples, and the application form is almost problemsolving, The difference is that technology tools of People’s Education Press (Edition A) arevarious, and the distribution of technology using level has large differences. But technology tool of Australian is single, and mostly focused on the level3. All in all, thetechnology using in Australia and People’s Education Press (Edition A) mathematicstextbooks has its own characteristic.
