Comparative Research On College Student Associations Of Chinese And Western Universities

College student association is composed of those students who share the same interest and join in voluntarily. It is a mass association among students and carries out activities according to the articles of the association and an important and efficient means to implement the quality education. With the further reform of high school education and larger scale enrollment of college students, college student association has developed rapidly in self-education, self-management, self-fashioning and self-improvement areas. The role of class in college has become less and less unimportant, while the impact of the association has increased, and college students’political consciences have been propelled greatly. At the meantime, as the reform goes deeper, socialist market economy system has been constructed, college students’view of value towards life becomes diversified. Particularly with the coming of the era of public higher education, some new circumstances and cases emerge constantly, the management of college student association and its development now confront with severe challenges. If we still look to traditional methods to manage those associations, not only the function of them can’t be exerted completely, it even may affect their survival and development. Below are some important subjects on college student association:To get a clear view on the current student association management; to study further into the problems and to search; to make up appropriate management mode; to manage and lead the associations efficiently and healthily; to function more on students’growth.In order to know of the reality of college student association and it’s running in bird’s-view so as to manage and construct it timely and efficiently, this thesis takes concern on the college student association both in China and in the west.
