The Current Situations And Solutions Of The Regulation Of Boarders In Small Town Junior High Schools

The regulation of boarders is an important part of a school’s moral education to the students. The small town junior high school has been consolidated since2000, which made the small town junior high schools much bigger than ever before, thus greatly increasing the number of boarders in a school. It is therefore of great necessity to strengthen the regulation of boarders in small town junior high school, just to meet the need of an enlarged school. At present, there are some common and typical problems existing in most small town junior high school, according to a survey of more than50small town junior schools in nine counties in Zhejiang. For instance, in most small town junior high schools, boarders are more than50%of all the students, but those schools put little emphasis on the regulation of the boarders. What’s more, the fact that the supervisors are usually not professional or especially trained and the boarders’lacking in self-control, bad habits as well as their dislike in living on campus made the situation even worse. If these problems are not dealt with properly, they will have a bad effect on a school’s daily routine. Hence, every small town junior high school is seeking the effective solutions to these problems.This essay analyzes the current situations of the regulation of boarders in small town junior high schools and offers solutions to the corresponding problems in the following five aspects:the improvement of the rules and regulations, the qualities of supervisors, the informationization of the regulation, the boarders’ daily habits and the ability of the boarders’self-control.Supervisors of a school should always obey the people-oriented policy, therefore trying to treat students-in a humanity way. A school should always do its best to provide a good environment and conditions for the students’ sustainable development. The basic and main task of a school is to cultivate talents, so humanization should come first in regulating and educating students for a school is dealing with humans. In the process of regulating the students, supervisors should try to seek the support of school leaders, improve the rules and regulations, humanize the regulation, make the most of the Internet recourses, construct the culture of dormitory area, develop good habits of students, and organize a team of student supervisors, in order to achieve an effective way of regulating the boarders in small town junior high school.
