With globalization increasing and information technology’s development, as well as the strategicfocus of China’s compulsory education by the number of universal conversion to enhance thequality, the importance of the rural school English teaching has a further highlight. At the sametime, rural junior high school English teachers’ professional development begins to be given moreattention. In this study, through a survey of the Northeast D County junior high school Englishteachers’ professional development, we have a view of rural junior high school English teacher’sprofessional level, professional emotional problems in professional reflection and professionaltraining, and we have a deep analysis on the reasons of these problems. Then, this study put upwith targeted recommendations on how to upgrade rural junior high school English teachers’professional development.In this study, including the following four parts:The first part is an introduction, the main origin of this study, research status, significance andresearch methods, a more detailed explanation,to pave the way for further research carried out.The second part is an analysis of the status of rural junior high school English teachers’professional development, mainly from the professional standards of rural junior high schoolEnglish teachers, professional emotional, professional reflection conditions and professionaltraining of the four dimensions of rural junior high school English teacher professionaldevelopment, a comprehensive scan analysis for the cause of the problem of rural junior highschool English teachers’ professional development ideas.The third part is a cause analysis of rural junior high school English teachers ’professionaldevelopment problem.problem analysis of the last four dimensions were carried out in-depthattribution analysis in order to provide recommendations for the improvement of rural junior highschool English teachers’ professional development.The fourth part is the recommendations for improvement of rural junior high school Englishteachers’ professional development. For the problems of rural junior high school English teachers’professional development combined with the research of professional development of teachers.This study put up with more practical ideas for rural junior high school English teachers’professional development.
