Modern society is an information society, so information acquisition, transmission, processing and application capabilities have become the most basic level of ability and cultural symbol. In addition, information technology teaching plays an important part in training people’s information literacy. Meanwhile, the training of information literacy has changed people’s production, work, learn, ways of thinking and life, and promoted the development of society.However, the current status of Senior information technology teaching is not good. Therefore, the investigation into the actualities in information technology teaching will be beneficial to promote the Senior information technology teaching reform.With the questionnaire and interview in this essay, the actualities in senior information technology teaching will be investigated and analyzed. The actualities include the problems of the students and the teachers from the information technology teaching class.The main purpose of this essay is to research the problems in Senior information technology teaching, and analyze the causes of the problems on the basis of teaching theories. Cooperated with the teaching practice, it puts forward some strategies of reforming the teaching of Senior information technology, including forming good habits of students’ understanding, changing the teachers’ concept of teaching, improving the teaching efficiency by task-driven and promoting the learning interesting of students. Moreover, the information technology teaching reform in our school based on the research has achieved a good result. Meanwhile, from the research, the writer hopes to improve the information literacy of the students and provide references for other similar schools in Senior information technology teaching reform and arouse awareness for a deeper understanding of information technology.
