Since the1960s, the geography information technology has developed rapidly, and widely used in every field of social life. The increasing complexity of issues, including population resources、environment、development and so on, leads to more requisition for the information quality of the students. Therefore, It has been an urgent task that technology education base on3S will be more and more popular for geography education in our country. In2003, the Ministry of Education issued new standards for high school geography curriculum, and brought the3S into new curriculum of geography of high school historically. It offered the opportunity for3S to be applied to geography of high school. At present, relevant research on geographical education of high school combined with3S is still at primary stage in our country. gainst such a background, the thesis carries on discussion and research on the issue that the3S is applied to the high school education, in the hope of providing a certain reference to smooth implementation and reform of the geographical teaching mode of geographical teaching of high school.Based on practice of participating in the research project and skill of operating on a variety of GIS softwares and remote sensing image processing softwares, depending on geography teaching in high school for three years before pursuing the master degree as well as practice in seventh high school in Huangpi city. The paper applies the3S to the geographical case teaching of high school innovatively, according to characteristic and requirement of the new geographical course standard. How will the case-teaching be applied to the geography teaching, and the technology based on the3S can solve the problem. The organic integration of the3S and geographical case teaching can offer comprehensive geographical knowledge to students and train overall geographical quality of students. It also enhances student’s ability of studying independently and knowledge migration.By the current situation of research on the3S at home and abroad, the thesis elaborated the3S technology connotation. At the same time it commences from the3S powerful functions, recommends the way that the3S is introduced into the geographical teaching and discusses the necessity and advantage of the3S which used in the geographical case teaching of high school. Combined with the case of geographical teaching in seventh high school in Huangpi city and through the practice of teaching and the research, the paper attempts to construct a new mode-integrating the3S and the geography case teaching, forming designing achievement of the geographical case teaching of high school. The practice shows:the3S which applied to the geographical case teaching of high school has its unique superiority to contribute to capability of cognitive and innovative and ability of analyzing and solving problems. Finally, this paper will do a summary and discussion of the research, point out the deficiencies and problems of research which remains to be solved, and put forward some feasible proposals and programs.
