With the rise and popularization of modern information technology,geography teaching in senior High school attaches more and more importance to the combination of geography information technology and teaching,through the means of geography information technology,it can better accomplish teaching goal and better guide and train students.Google Earth,as a new geo-information software,integrates satellite images,aerial photographs and geo-information data,and presents them in the form of a graph,showing more intuitive geographical representation.At the same time,combined with other functions,can break through the high school geography teaching in many aspects of the content.In this paper,based on the analysis of the research of many scholars,combined with the function of software,curriculum standards,textbooks and students ’ learning,the teaching case design based on Google Earth’s High School geography compulsory 1 is carried out,aiming at giving full play to Google Earth’s advantages in geography teaching and optimizing geography classroom teaching.In this paper,through the literature review of related papers,understanding of Google Earth applied to geography teaching research status.And through the case analysis,statistical analysis,12 classroom video and instructional design,12 journal papers for Research materials,summed up the Google Earth in the teaching of the common content of geography,Google Earth in geography teaching and use of the way and Google The function and problems of Earth in geography teaching.Based on the above,the paper designs and develops 5teaching cases of high school geography compulsory 1 based on Google Earth.Based on the above research,finally came to the following conclusions:(1)The teacher with Google Earth Assisted Geography teaching,you can follow the following steps to develop design-related cases: the selection of teaching content,background analysis,collection of related materials,create a geographical database,and then according to their own needs for debugging and modification.(2)based on Google Earth Software’s powerful function,its application to the high school geography teaching unique advantages summed up as the following: 1.Intuitive.Can observe the same geographical things from different angles,different scales,multiple layers provide a variety of thematic information and virtual reality function 2.Interactivity.With the characteristics of human-computer interaction,students can operate and obtain information.3.Sharing.The vast numbers provided by Google Earth can be obtained free of charge in the networked environment.(3)Google Earth plays an important role in geography teaching.From the teacher level,in the course of preparing lessons for teachers to provide a wealth of resources.In class,the teaching content of the expression of diverse,innovative geography teaching methods,breakthrough in the teaching of abstract,difficult to understand the content.From the student level,provides the independent,the inquiry study environment.At the same time help students to promote the establishment of space thinking,improve students ’ disciplinary ability.(4)Google Earth assisted Geography teaching in senior high schools mainly in three aspects: 1.Teaching mode is based on presentation mode.2.The use of software to display the main function.3.Use in combination with other teaching media in actual teaching.
