In the process of social work, making an effective evaluation ofsocial work cannot only beneficial to the orderly development of social work but alsovery helpful in building the social work talents of excellent quality. In the criticalperiod of social transformation, it will undoubtedly have a positive and importantsignificance to promote social teams by the government purchase of social servicesand make evaluation of social work.Based on the perspective of government purchasing services, this paper collectsdata through interviews of literature and case. By reading through the publicevaluation index of Dong guan, in addition to the research literatures, the preliminaryunderstanding to the assessment of the status quo is obtained. At the same time, Dongguan city SY social work service is taken as an example to have a deeperunderstanding of the assessment with the use of case in the form of individualinterviews, based on which, the analysis of problems existing in Dong guanassessment social work agencies, as well as analysis of the possible causes of theseproblems are made.Through the research on the evaluation system, the existence of the problem is studied in,mainly displays in: the evaluation index is not perfect, the lack of normative evaluation, evaluation system and cultural aspects of defects, evaluation results have not been effective application andassessment organizations and government boundaries are not clear in five aspects. The causes ofthese problems are discussed, the corresponding countermeasures and suggestions are putforward in this paper: one is to improve the understanding of the evaluation of socialwork. Two is to establish the perfect evaluation system. Three is to enhance theagencies to promote the agencies’ assessment quality. Four is to strengthen theevaluation and supervision with effective use of assessment results.
