Exploration And Practice Of Youth Social Work Service Evaluation

Throughout the whole social work service activities,social work assessment is an essential part of a social work service project.It plays an irreplaceable role in the process of a social work service project.In this article,the author takes the "Summer Camp" project mentioned above as the object of evaluation.Based on the evaluation theory proposed by Gu Donghui,a Chinese scholar,and integrate the CIPP theory.This project evaluation relates to two dimensions: implementation and effectiveness.Through implementing of the evaluation plan,we found the problems and shortcomings within the process of the project and analyzed the causes and countermeasures of the problem.We also found the advantages of the project implementation and summarized the experiences and lessons from the project we learn.Through project evaluation analysis,the author found: First,in the aspect of project implementation,the project activities are very diverse;the teenagers' rate of involvement is high;the implementation process is relatively smooth.However,there are some unexpected cases during the activities.The project team's expertise needs to be further strengthened to respond to group conflicts and individual team members' emotions.Second,at the end of the project,the project activities were basically completed as planned and nearly 100 people were served.The project implementer also got trained and developed from the process.Project activity itself has also been welcomed in the community.Meanwhile,the project is also an active exploration and attempt in the field of youth services,promoting the development of youth social service projects.However,the limitations of the project itself limited the promotion and social impact of the project.Through the evaluation of the service project,the author draws following conclusion: Youth "summer camp" project effectively integrating various social resources,was implemented smoothly.In this process,the project goal was basically reached;the service effect was remarkable.However,due to the lack of practical experience of social workers,inadequate project input and support and limited activity method,the project encountered some difficulties in the process of development and promotion.At the same time,pay attention to the project results-oriented assessment model to ensure that the evaluation work can run through the whole process of social work service,so as to control the overall effectiveness of services.
