Under the background of the reform and development of children’s drama education, this study used all kinds of problems that have existed since the practice of kindergarten’s drama workshop as the entry point, and used action research as the main method to do the research of project design and implementation process of the young children’s drama workshop. The researchers wished the open, cooperative, creative drama workshop will satisfy the needs of children’s creation of drama and enrich the organizational forms of children drama education in China.In this study, with the concept structure of creative drama of US, the drama workshop was an improvisational and processable activity for creating drama,which was based on the basic drama theory of’Confict theory’and’Collective theory’and the basic education theory of Dewey’s’children centre’and’learning by doing’and Vygotsky’s sociocultural theory. Then, the concept of the drama workshop was defined:in the special drama space, a guider led a few participants to creat drama charaters, plots and settings cooperatively through body, voice, language and other physical resources around certain themes. Every body needed to reflect their own unique experience in the creative process, thus their imagination, creativity and the abilities of problem solving were promoted. On the basis of original practice research, this study designed The Magical Bubble, Secrets in the Picture, A Cat in the Box, The Guest from Santa Village as the activity plans of drama workshop. The process included four parts:warm-up, role developing, plot developing and sharing and exchanging, and some specific drama strategies has been used. The researchers did four research process of "action-reflection-reaction" for the four plans so as to amend and perfect the system of theory and practice of drama workshop.In part of the research results and discussion, the writer analyzed the basic conditions of implementation, children’s creation behaviour in the drama workshop, the process of teachers’guiding process, and the art characters of drama workshop elaboratively. What’s more, this study discussed the value of drama workshop to children, teachers and drama education in the kindergarten, and put forward the related proposals.The aim of this study was to provide a new view and practical reference to the children’s drama education in the kindergarten.
