After30years of reform and opening up, our country in political, ideological, cultural and other aspects are all involved in a continuous reform and exploration, and has made great achievements. At present our country is experiencing to urbanization, industrialization and modernization transformation, and at the same time also with international, globalization, information trend. In this complex transformation period, how our private universities adapt to social change and needs and improve the governance mode of Chinese private universities, promote the development of private education, become an important subject.Fistly, this paper will use corporate governance theory, the corporate stakeholders theory and Contingent governance theory together to study the current our private universities governance mode problemsSecondly, in this paper, we select three private universities to in-depth research and found the common problems that our private universities governance mode is uncertain, immature and imperfect.Thirdly, through the history of the development of foreign universities, especially through to the American and Japan in the transformation period of private education research, summed up valuable enlightenment. At the same time through researching the main foreign universities contemporary governance researching and introducing corporate governance mode based on the achievement of research, improve our private universities governance mode.Finally after practice, theoretical and historical aspects of the research, from governance idea, university governance structure and governance mechanism and government support views, we put forward optimized and perfect our private universities governance mode.
