Research On The Influence Of FDI On The Employment Of Hebei Province

Along with the global economic integration speeding up, China’s domestic marketopenness rise ceaselessly. The foreign direct investment gradually expands in China and playsa more and more important role in our country’s economic operation. After foreign directinvestment entered into host countries, it not only directly created employment opportunities,but also indirectly created employment opportunities through the related chain. Nowadays, alarge number of multinational companies invest in Hebei province and the size of investmentis growing. The foreign direct investment plays a profound and significant role in all aspectsof economy in Hebei province. Employment is one of the important aspects. Because theforeign direct investment influences employment variously, this paper researches theinfluence from the number of employment, the structure of employment and the quality ofemployment. We do the research using normative analysis and empirical analysis combinedwith qualitative analysis and quantitative analysis. We work on how the foreign directinvestment affects the employment of Hebei province from multi-level and different angles.The first part is the introduction. The first part mainly introduces the background,significance, study method, main innovation points and literature overview.The second part is the theory of the relationship between foreign direct investment andemployment. It is summarized from the number of employment, the structure of employmentand the quality of employment. The third part is the situation of foreign direct investment andemployment in Hebei province. The foreign direct investment is researched from total amount,source, investment style, industrial structure and regional distribution. The employment isresearched from the amount and different industries.The fourth part is how the foreign direct investment affect the employment of Hebeiprovince. This paper researches the influence from the number of employment, the structureof employment and the quality of employment. We study the number influence ofemployment from direct and indirect aspects. We study the structure influence of employmentfrom industrial and regional aspects. We study the quality influence of employment fromsalary.The fifth part are the suggestions about how to promote employment of Hebei province by the foreign direct investment. There are six ideas. Firstly, we must improve foreign directinvestment scale. Secondly, we’d better improve the correlation between our enterprise andforeign capital enterprise. Thirdly, we should guide the foreign capital flowing to the thirdindustry. Fourthly, we could adhere to the technology intensive and labor-intensiveinvestment strategy. Fifthly, we must guide foreign direct investment flow direction. Sixthly,we should improve people quality. So these six strategies can promote employment of Hebeiprovince.
