With the continuous expanding of higher education scale in recent ten years, the internal management structure of higher education is gradually to switch, from two level structure school-department to three level structure school-dean-department., With the changes of the management structure, there are more things need to deal with and more power to have. Higher school gradually becomes the center of teaching and scientific research institute, as the administrator of the dean, the administrative and the academic affairs become more and more.Higher school organizational structure with administrative and academic research of double crossover characteristics, The university organization includes administrative power and the academic power, the deanship is unique middle management Positions, which formed by the Interchange of the two-dimensional subsystem of the discipline subsystem and the Bureaucracy subsystem. The middle management Positions and these two roles to raise different expectations, those may bring role conflict.Based upon the theory of role conflict, using the quantitative and qualitative research method to analyze role conflict of the deans. Firstly, we use SPSS to statistics and analysis the basic situation of our Chinese deans. Next, give a descriptive analysis to our Chinese deans’ quality and responsibility. Chapter four is the most important part, the first,to check out the reliability and validity the study use inspection of SPSS software,on the basis of the factor analysis for the deans’ role conflict. Obtaining the conclusion.The finally, according to the results, take the corresponding solutions.
