The Research On The Academic Power And Administrative Power Of The University In China By The View Of Conflict Theory

Academic power and administrative power are two basic rights in college. The universitiestook the academic body, the academic authority is universities’ core and the intrinsic logicalrequest; and took the official organization of society，the administrative power is theindispensable authority of the universities. The university’s organization characteristic haddecided its objective existence. The education career has acquired big achievements sinceReform and Opening up. But some serious problems have emerged in the construction ofuniversity, which is the imbalance between academic authority and administrative power.Academic power can not normally play, that will affect the healthy development of theuniversity. The target of this thesis is to find the ways to solve the power imbalance inuniversity by the research on conflict fusion of academic power and administrative power.Among all kinds of power modes, academic power and administrative power have their ownbases and functions. The legality of academic power stems from the special and advanced ofthe university knowledge. The legality of administrative power originates in the improvementof management efficiency. The effective cooperation between the two powers can ensure theeffective management of academic and administrative affairs. By the research of the specialfunction of the university, this thesis analyzed the origination of the academic power and theadministrative power, and in-depth analyzed the construction evolution and the problems atpresent between them from the historical perspective. By the view of conflict theory, the thesisemphatically analyzing the culture factors and resources factors which caused the conflictbetween academic power and administrative power. At the same time, the thesis points out theactive and negative impaction owing to conflict. Finally, according to the factors which causedconflict, this author explored some effective ways to coordinate the two powers.The biggest innovation of this thesis is on the basic of existing achievement, from thehistorical perspective, analyzed the source of academic power and administrative. Takingconflict theory as a basic, probe into the couture and resource factors, and also, put forwardsome strategies to coordinate the conflict between the two powers, which aim to promote thehealthy and orderly development of university.
