With the process of economic globalization and the development of informationtechnology, modern people are in an environment which is full of alternatives. Duringthe collision of opening and conservative, the differences on people’s value orientationare becoming obvious. Facing the same historical figure and the same historicalphenomenon, people tend to give different evaluations based on different standard ofvalues. In the meantime, with the academic research goes deeper, new achievements,perspectives, opinions and conclusions continuously spring up in the historian circle,which are quite different from even go against the traditional opinions. Faced with theseconflicts, teachers and students sometimes have no idea what course to take. Theclassrooms are flooded with different evaluation criteria, conflicting conclusions, someof which are completely wrong or too extreme. All of these have negative impact onstudents, and disturb students’ values and their outlooks on the world and their lives.Effective measures have be taken to change the current phenomenon.The essay is based on investigation and research, and it talks about historicalfigures’ evaluation on senior school’s Politics lessons. The essay is divided into fourparts.Introduction: It mainly states the research background, theory and practicalmeaning, the development of the research,my train of thinking, research methods,innovation and deficiency.Part one: the current situation of historical figures’ evaluation on senior schools’Politics lessons. Find out the problems on historical figures’ evaluation on Politicslesson. The main problems are as follows: lack of permeation on main political values;lack of efficient guidance on developing students’ humanity and politicalaccomplishments; the tendency of diversity and irrational attitudes caused by students’immature abilities to evaluate historical figures; Lack of students’ interest as a result ofspoon-feeding teaching methods. Part two: the analysis of existing problems and the reasons on historical figuresevaluations on senior schools’ Politics lessons. The author consulted many relevantdocuments and make full of own working experience and research conclusion and laterfound out the reasons why senior students have difficulty in evaluating historical figures.The article was written by the angle of schools, teachers and students.Part three: strategies are put forward on how to solve the problem of historicalfigures’ evaluations. That is, we should evaluate historical figures through scientificmethods. We should grasp the balance between the academic trends and main streamvalues. We should emphasize the moral function and the function of cultivating ofstudents’ personality on Politics lessons. We should enrich the teaching materials andenforce positive values’ guide to effectively integrate and use teaching resources.
