Moral education is the most important and most difficult part in history education in middle school.Education of historical figures plays a vital role in cultivating noble virtue and right value orientation for students in middle school.However,the key of historical education is figure education,therefore,how to evaluate historical figures right in history education becomes a critical factor in forming value orientation of middle school students.Although there are masses of studies on historical evaluation in historian circle,most of them are theoretical,high-standard and complicated,whether these studies suitable for students' understanding,approval and practical use is worth discussing.For this reason,this paper made preliminary discussion on the historical figure evaluation in middle school history education.The paper teases and analyzes historical figures evaluation in historian circle and middle school history education at first.It lists the present standard and methods of historical figures in historian circle,and proposals the necessary of historical figure evaluation in middle school history education and the connection and difference in historical figure evaluation in history research.The author has made a research on the current historical figure evaluation standards and methods in middle school through questionnaire,analyzed the outcome,and pointed out that,for middle school students,lacking of objectivity and scientificity and easily influenced by the external information for their mental characters at their age,they can't acknowledge a systematic and scientific evaluation method.The paper suggests building a historical figure evaluation system which meets the cognitive and thinking mode of middle school students from four aspects.One,explore historical figures thoroughly and find out valuable figures in textbooks to evaluate.Two,build an evaluation method which starts from the surface tothe center and meets the mental characters and cognitive level of middle school students,so as to confirm a historical figure evaluation method based on practical teaching situation and under the specific directions,or,in other words,a dialectic analysis method based on objective and overall historical figure analysis.In the meantime,encourage students to establish an efficient evaluation method which meets their own thinking mode on their own,according to the above evaluation standards and methods.Three,notice the application of historical figure evaluation in examination.Four,guide students make historical figures evaluation after class.The teaching strategy of historical figures evaluation mentioned above shall all presented with examples to verify the feasibility of the method.
