The sixth plenary of sixteenth session of NPC pointed out that it is an important goal andtask of our country to construct a harmonious society in current and future period. Harmonyrefers to the harmony of one’s own and the harmony between individual and the environmenthe lives in,which means the harmony among individuals, society and nature. In the process ofconstructing the harmonious society,we are going to realize the harmonious personalityultimately. University students are the backbones of the social development, they play animportant and component role to construct the harmonious society. As senior intellectuals,they are inestimable to social progress and development. However, with the cause of ourcountry’s reform and open deeping in, the situational development and social changes presentdiversified patterns, and characteristics of the contemporary university students’ personalityare different from that of students in the second part of last century. More and more collegestudents gradually lose themselves, stir their values,and their ideologies begin to be in conflict,evaluation standards begin to disorder, moral senses begin to slide, psychological problemsbegin to breed, actions begin to be wrong, thus,their personality is in an unbalanced anddisharmonious state. The existing various disharmonious phenomena in the contemporarycollege students seriously affect their growth and the realization of the objectives of educationin college and also the construction of harmonious society.Therefore, many educationalexperts begin to pay attention to college students’ personality education research, and activelyexplore effective ways of training university students’ harmonious personality,thus, thepersonality education become the most important problem in the higher education.In order to help students develop harmonious personality, first of all we shouldunderstand the present situation of their disharmonious personality. The author hassummarized the disharmonious actions of the contemporary college students’ personality afterfield survey and analyzed the specific reasons. The problem has become a common problemin the university students’ education,and it has been an important content of education that cannot be ignored as they bear the task of socialist construction and development with theproposing of the construction of harmonious society.Therefore, constructing harmonious personality of contemporary college students has certain practical value and it is not only theneed of individuals but also the higher education, and also the construction of harmonioussociety. There are no complete and unified essays about the establishment of universitystudents’ harmonious value of personality in many articles, and it is still blank at present. Soin the basis of consulting a large number of documents and combining the actual situation ofreality, the author will discuss it from four aspects in details,appealing to the college makingcollege students’ personality education in the first place. However, due to various reasons,many universities although clearly know the existing problems of college students’personality, and have done a lot focusing on the cultivation of personality, such as to improvethe psychological education institutions, to carry out various practice activities, to organizingall kinds of growth lectures, etc.,but it appears to be ineffective,and one of the main reasons isthat there is no a perfect, scientific and effective way. So, how to set up a set of perfectpersonality training methods in university is an important issue to be resolved. Afteranalyzing of the contemporary college students personality disharmonious phenomena and thereasons of causing it, the author presents in details the real value of establishing thecontemporary college students’ harmonious personality, putting the construction ofcontemporary college students’ harmonious personality to a strategic height.And then clearlypoint out the effective goals and specific strategies of the construction of contemporaryuniversity students’ harmonious personality,which will be the reference to our country’suniversity students’ political thinking education work.This paper is divided into five parts: the first part is introduction, which introduces thebackground, significance and the current situation of the research, and illustrates the researchmethod and innovative points. Contemporary college students’ disharmonious personalityperformance becomes more and more apparent, it has attracts the domestic and foreigneducators’ attention who have carried out a series of research that have achieved initial results.On the basis of previous studies and many years of work experience, the author makes adeeper analysis and discussion for the real value and specific strategy of the contemporaryuniversity students’ harmonious personality construction. In the second part, the authorexplains the theory of harmonious personality, including the concept of harmonious personality, harmonious personality thought foundation, the harmonious personalityphilosophical implication and the basic features of harmonious personality. The third part isabout the analysis of current situation of the contemporary college students’ personality andresons. Firstly the author analyse the contemporary university students’ harmoniouspersonality characteristics and the current situation. Then through the survey, the author findsmost of the students have disharmonious personality imagination, and the author lists thedisharmonious personality performance, and based on this, analyzed the specific reasons. Thefourth part mainly discusses the real value of contemporary university students’ harmoniouspersonality construction. The contemporary university students’ harmonious personality is notonly the need of the construction of college students’ individual development, but also theneed of higher education development, and also the need of building a harmonious society.The fifth part clearly states the goal of contemporary university students’ harmoniouspersonality construction and the author also puts forward some concrete strategies accordingto the contemporary university students’ harmonious personality development presentsituation.
