Geometry course is the core of every education reform, curriculum reform in2001changs "geometric" to "Space and Shape"and become an important part of compulsory education. The reform of education put forward new requirements about teaching content, cognitive demand of students and teachers. To understand the status of teaching and learning after the education reform, the paper carried the following research:1、the research of teaching content in "Space and Shape " fieldThrough the comparison between the three textbooks:new textbooks strengthen the contents of "graphic transform" and require more about the spatial imagination. After curriculum reform,textbooks reflect the curriculum standards through the "exercises"、"project learning"、"mathematical activity"and other columns. Textbooks published by JiangSu education Press are the same with textbooks published by East China Normal University Press in "inquiry" and "background"level, in other levels less than Jiangsu education Press. In addition, the Van Hiele level division of the textbooks activity are uniform in textbooks published by East China Normal University Press, textbooks published by JiangSu education Press are concentrated in higher level relatively.2、the research of students learning in "Space and Shape" fieldInvestigation of student learning by testing the contents of the field problems and the level of student thinking, we can conclude that:students are not learning in depth understanding of the concept, the lack of theory with the ability; logical reasoning is not tight, intuitive reasoning; mathematical language interpretation is not standardized and so on. The level of thinking, most students can achieve Van Hiele level2, for the complex context of2.5,3.5,4levels, different classes and schools are significant differences.Communication with teachers and access to relevant literature to discuss ways to improve the level of student thinking, we can conclude that:the creation of a reasonable problem situation; put students to real experience, levels of mathematical activity and so on.3、the status of teaching in "Space and Shape" fieldBy classroom observation and teaching curriculum standards requires about this part to analysis the junior high school classroom teaching situation,we found that:students in the classroom are in courage to express their views and opinions, the interaction between teachers and students is frequent, students are allowed to explore and think about Problems, teachers use modern information technology in new lessons to explain aspects of presentation and problems,which helps the students understand and grasp the concept. Teachers evaluate basic knowledge and pay more attention to the realities and the ability to solve problems.
