| Physical education (PE) and sports is a significant part of school education, as it contributes to the holistic and all-rounded development of a student. Accurate information about the current situation of the school education system is critical for successful education reformation. The purpose of this thesis is to conduct a comprehensive and accurate survey and analysis of Zhaojue County Schools Physical education and Sports. It significance is to apply a scientific data for reform and development.Through the documentary, survey, statistical, and field observation methods, the study obtained primary data. Results show that physical education and sports in schools in Zhaojue County fall short of national standards and were lower than most parts of China. In most schools, sports equipment was in shortage and often poor in quality. While in general, PE lessons were not conducted sufficiently; some primary schools in the countryside do not even conduct PE lessons. Further, variations of the content of PE lessons were few and thus resulted in monotony, Number of sports lessons in school were also few and often disorganized, only a small portion of the student population attends. It was also observed that the quantity and quality of teachers were not up to par. It is hoped that the results of this research would inspire educators to formulate increasingly suitable policies to develop physical education and sports in schools in Zhaojue. To address the above issues offer the following recommendations:first, expanding the sources of funds, increasing the number of venues and facilities,to use venues and equipment more efficiently; to ensure the commencement of the rate of physical education, enrich the teaching contents and teaching methods. Third, according to local conditions, to carry out extra-curricular sports activities popular with students.Fourth, to seize the opportunity of education reform, from both the quantity and quality to enhance the level of physical education teachers. |
