In recent years, distance education develops rapidly in China, but the design problem of CAI (Computer Assisted Instruction) courseware is a stumbling block that impedes the development of distance education, there are still some problems which are difficult to operate and inefficient because of the unreasonable design. This paper analyses the development of CAI courseware theory and user-centered interaction design, then finds the consistency between the student-centered learning ideas emphasized by the contemporary constructive learning theory and UCD (User Centered Design) in human-computer interaction. Finally, the paper Put forwards the UCD methods to develop and design CAI courseware, and then solves the availability problem of modern distance education CAI courseware in network environment, in order to improve the efficiency, validity and satisfaction of end-user as well as learning.Therefore, the topic of this paper is design method of a user-centric remote interactive courseware. Based on the CAI courseware system analysis, the paper describes the following question designs to achieve:1. Introduce development history and background of remote education and the CAI courseware, and then it’s significantly important that integrating the UCD method into the production process of CAI courseware.2. Introduce related concept and nature of CAI courseware, the technology and tools which can complete the designing of system, as well as the feasibility analysis of system.3. Describe the interactive design method and its implementation of CAI courseware that is user-centered, and the application in network.4. To discuss the features, common problems and solutions of CAI courseware that is user-centered, which can help developers and users know this courseware system further.It develops a multimedia courseware platform system which is specific and user-friendly, and evaluation shows against on this system. UCD methods can effectively improve the efficiency of interact between user and system through the network remote, therefore efficiency of learning is improved. As the research program of next step, the author hopes the prototype product to have a further improve and to expand the scope of assessment, According to the above, the user-centered CAI courseware method can be improved further.
