Ever sine the middle of90s of last century, primary school English teaching is spreading throughout Zhongshan city. English teaching begins from grade one in primary schools. There’s obvious difference between the urban and the rural primary school English teaching. The research on the current village primary school English teaching predicament and countermeasure are basic on the analyze of English teaching in Xiaolan Shengfeng Primary School of Zhongshan.As a teacher and education management, the author knows that the problem of Shengfeng Primary School English teaching is first of all do not have enough competent English teachers, those who are teaching lower grade are not English majors. Secondary, English teaching is lack of scientific guidance and management, and the English teachers are with backward concept and method of English teaching. Thirdly, students from the rural family are comparatively with poor pre-school and family education, when the evaluation of educations stresses more on scores, teachers spend more time on after-class tutoring to enhance student’s achievement, which lead to students prone to emotional weariness. Above all, the school education quality of teaching is at the reciprocal position in town.Owing to the problems of English teaching, the author analyzed the cause of trouble lies in:the school is not able to make arrangement according to English teaching features. Not enough attention has been paid to Professional teaching development. Home-school contact is not linked basic on rural characteristics, so that not able to enhance family education quality, to cultivate students better learning habits. The teaching evaluation is unscientific which is not good to teacher union. Score centered teaching ignored the needs of students, and restrained teacher’s teaching behavior.Based on the school English teaching problems and the analysis of the problem, research starts from the management, school-based training, promoting teachers’ professional development, developing effective evaluation and reward system so as to promote the development of teachers and students. Strict implementation of collective preparation of lessons, make teaching observation as a everyday routine, through students’ homework to see teachers’teaching. Create a better atmosphere for English learning. Create a better atmosphere for English learning, strengthen home-school contact and enforce moral education, so as to turn passive learning into active learning which will sure benefit teaching This study is divided into four parts, in Chapter one, on the selected topic background, research purpose and significance, the domestic and foreign research present situation analysis and definition for the key words. The second chapter is on analysis of the problem, description of the problem, analysis for the cause of the problem. The third chapter is on strategy research, from the professional development of teachers, effective classroom teaching, school management, education and campus culture. The fourth chapter is conclusion for this study and some reflective thinking on rural primary school English teaching and suggestion for it.
