After the implementation of the recent round of basic educational curricula reform, there is a great space for the middle school teaching history to in-depthly practice in the new teaching idea, This paper attempts to take the graphical representation teaching method as an example, it discusses how to improve traditional history teaching method in order to adapt to the new curriculum reform of the teaching idea, and take the topic of high school economic history as an example, through the case demonstrates, trying to deepen the graphical representation teaching method which is based on the combination of theory and practice.Paper is divided into five major sections. The first part is the introduction to introduce the research background, review the history of the teaching method, summarized the domestic graphical representation teaching method research status and looking forward to its application prospects, and briefly describes the purpose, significance and research methods of this study; The second part of this paper is to have a clear understanding of the research object-the concept and the classification of the graphical representation teaching method, and described the functions of the method which be used in the teaching of history; The third part describes the theoretical basis for the use of historical icon pedagogy in school history teaching, analyzed from three perspectives of history, education, psychology; The fourth part is the focus of this article, discussed the process of practicing the method in school history teaching, cited a typical case presentations, and concluded that the principle of the use of pictorial method to be followed; The fifth part is the conclusion of this article, reiterated the main points of this article.
