With constant development of information age, education technology ability plays amore and more important role in class. Improvement of education technology abilitycontributes to the professional development of university teachers, enhancement of universityteachers’ scientific research ability level, improvement of university teachers’ educationtechnology training quality and promotion of higher education reform and development.Consequently, grasping education technology ability for university teachers is inevitablerequirement for the development of the times. In order to understand the situation ofmastering of the university teachers’ education technology ability, the paper takes BaichengNormal College as an example surveying the situation of mastering of the college’s educationtechnology ability, which bases on 《National Educational Technology Guides for Teachers inHigher Education (The control of testing edition)》, questionnaire surveying and interviewresults to make rational training plan.The thesis is composed of five chapters. Chapter one is an introduction. In this chapter,writing background, research methods and research significance are introduced. In chaptertwo, basing on 《National Educational Technology Guides for Teachers in Higher Education(The control of testing edition)》, the structure, features and specific requirement of universityteachers’ education technology ability are listed. In chapter three, the questionnaire statisticaldata are analyzed in order to show the current situation of Baicheng Normal College’seducation technology ability. In chapter four, the development strategy of educationtechnology ability is stated in two parts. One part is the change of concept and mechanism,the other part is to strengthen the university teachers’ education technology ability trainingand make the training plan. Chapter five is summary and reflection; it mainly discusses theresearch limitations.
