In recent years, China gives priority to the development of education, especially to vocational education. The central and local governments encourage schools to learn foreign advanced teaching modes. In learning foreign advanced teaching modes, there are mainly Sino-foreign cooperation in running schools and introducing high-quality curriculum from abroad. As for vocational education, we mainly learn from the United Kingdom, Germany, Australia, Singapore etc. which are advanced in vocational education.In June,2009, Wigan&Leigh College and Yangling Vocational and Technical College signed the" Curriculum Cooperation Intention Between Yangling Vocational and Technical College and Wigan&Leigh College ". Hospitality Management in Tourism and Management Department introduced16professional courses to optimize their curriculum. And the Department organized BTEC teaching team. The main introduced courses are: curriculum goals, curriculum structure, curriculum development, curriculum implementation, evaluation etc.. The introduced teaching mode has positive influence on improving classroom teaching and stimulating teachers in classes.The paper focuses on the introduction of foreign courses, using the joint-education opportunities between Yangling Vocational and Technical College and Wigan&Leigh College, carries out research to achieve the appropriate applying of teaching mode from abroad in the college, and forms its own distinctive curriculum so as to contribute to the teaching practice of vocational education.This research mainly adopts empirical research method, documentary method, interview method, analytical induction method and so on. This paper is based on the causes and problems of introducing foreign curriculum in higher vocational colleges. And it focuses on the natural process of the problems rising and orientation of the aims. With the introduction of the British BTEC course in Yangling Vocational and Technical College, the paper reflects on the problems and application integration analysis in higher vocational colleges introducing foreign curriculums. The author puts forward the idea of "localization" of the introduced courses in the paper as well. After the introduction of British BTEC curriculum resource, the teachers in YanglingVocational and Technical College have set up "student-centered learning and teacher as thefacilitor" teaching mode. They have changed the curriculum evaluation methods, masteredbasic academic evaluation method. In the teaching idea, the teachers give full play to students’talents; guide the students to study independently. As a consequence, it trains students’comprehensive ability, improves teachers’ practical ability and the ability of curriculumdevelopment and curriculum reform. In the introduction of foreign curriculums, our college isembarking on an exploring road.
