The Teaching Quality Monitoring System Research

With China’s rapid development of modernization, the sustained expansion of higher education scale continuous of the popularization process, the contradiction between universities’rapid development and its descending teaching quality is becoming more and more apparent. As a result, teaching quality of higher education has been a hot issue of our society. Hence, University should be based on teaching quality. As a result, it is urgent to establish and perfect the monitoring and controlling system of teaching quality to promote the all-round development of students.Proceeding from the theory of L. Von. Bertalanffy’s and A.V. Feigenbaum’s as well as the thesis analysis of universities’development nowadays, leading to the conclusion that the soul, the inner drive and the duty of a university lies in its ability to improve the teaching quality which needs effective monitoring methods based on a scientific monitoring system. After analyzing the domestic situation of recent teaching quality control, a monitoring and controlling system of university teaching quality (MCSUTQ) is established in our university. Combined with the problems during the enforcement of MCSUTQ in Xuzhou XX, I specially will put up forward some improvements.This thesis consists of four parts. The first part is an introduction, which analyzes the background, meaning, research situation both home and abroad, research ideas, research method and the theory to establish the MCSUTQ. The second part is the elements, principles and content of MCSUTQ. The third part is about the problems arising from the implementation the MCSUTQ in Xuzhou X X School and the analysis of the problems as well as some experience. And the last part talks about the countermeasures of MCSUTQ in Xuzhou X X School.Combined with my own practical working experience, this thesis is based on the research method of information collection, investigation, research, analysis and summary; guided by the principle of the scientific development outlook, combining theory with practice advises a monitoring and controlling system of university teaching quality (MCSUTQ) from a broader view, which ensures the quality of university teaching wholly, extensively and consistently by the geometric cross-system made up of the horizontal indicators, longitudinal indicators and sagittal indicators.This thesis, MCSUTQ which I hope will be of some referential significance to the improvement the teaching quality of higher education in our country.
