The thesis discusses the space-time concept of Long Horns Hmong, aims to reveal their unique cognition. As a member of Hmong Nationality, Long Horns Hmong has been lived in a remote area of southwestern China. By obeying a strict rule of endogamy, they preserved their national culture well in modern industrial society. The Long Horns Hmong has a set of complicated concepts, to explore them is the main work I did.Their time concept lies between punctiform and linear form, they represent in a finite time chain, a time order is built between past and future. The core of the order reflects in a sacred ware called Mukeke. The space concept is more complicated, it is a system combined by two present spaces and two conceptual spaces. A complicated relation was formed between the four spaces, in which the Long Horns Hmong has a subtle psychology and cognition. In addition to this, the thesis discusses the Long Horns Hmong’s situation governed by this concept and the obstacles caused by different cognition.
