In this research, in order to found out the Self-Acceptance situation of the higher vocational education students (HVE students) and explored the different intervention effects in improve HVE students’self-acceptance level between the hypnotherapy and the imagery communication psychotherapy, First, through the Self-Acceptance Questionnaire (SAQ) to survey513students of5HVE schools in Yangzhou, the ends showed us the status quo of HVE students’self-acceptance. Second, in the psychological intervention part, we distributed the34participants into3groups; the two experimental groups received different psychological interventions:the hypnotherapy and the imagery communication psychotherapy. The controlled group received some group lectures. All of this lasted for6weeks, once a week and each for1hour. Through analysis of the scores on SAQ and Symptom Checklist-90(SCL-90) from participants of three groups before and after the interventions, some important conclusions are just as following:(1)Compared with the freshmen of college, HVE students’self-acceptance level is slightly lower.(2)There are no significant differences in the total self-acceptance level between different gender、major and only child or not; but in the branch of self evaluation, there is significant gender and major differences, girls have more positive self evaluate level than boys and the liberal arts major students have more positive self evaluate level than the science major students.(3)There is significant difference between only child and non-only child; non-only child students have higher self evaluate level.(4)There is significant difference among different grades, expressed as the first grade students have higher self-acceptance level than the second and the third grade students, and there is no significant difference between the second and the third grade students.(5)The village students have more positive self-acceptance level than big city students and small and medium-sized city students, the differences have statistics significance. There is no significant difference between village students and urban students; there are differences among different family region in self evaluate branch, village students are higher than others.(6)Compared with the controlled group, both of the hypnotherapy and the imagery communication psychotherapy can effectively improve the self-acceptance level of HVE students.(7)Compared with the imagery communication psychotherapy, the hypnotherapy have better efficacy.
