Since the reform and opening up, Christianity has developed rapidly in China, especially in rural areas, which has become an ignorable social phenomenon. As aheterogeneous culture, the fact that Christianity has gained such a rapid developmentin China, a nation deeply rooted in tradition is much too surprising. Whether thissituation is a rehearsal of the Chinese Christianity thermal or an illusion? What are thenew changes of it in rural areas in recent years? How shall we understand ruralChristian localization? What are the main aspects of this phenomenon and what is itsfuture trend? We have to think about these carefully. With these questions in mind, Iselected three village missionary places in S Town, Jilin as the object of study andcarried out a comprehensive survey of the field. While puting myself in the field, Iunderstood that the new changes are as below: the utilitarian of rural Christianmotivation, secularization of the doctrine ceremony, two edges of the route oftransmission, the diversification of religion function, etc. On the one hand, I learnt thatdespite positive changes of rural Christianity, there remain many uncertain factors andchallenges in the localization process of rural Christianity localization.
