Urbanization as the only way in human development is the objectivelaw of human society developing. However, the damage of urbanization isunprecedented to the majority of the farmers in peri-urban that the landhas been acquisited though it also helps to promote urban economicdevelopment and social prosperity.With urbanization going forward bysteps, a large number of landless farmers gradually evolved into thevulnerable groups that have no land, no work and no protection. Variousproblems and contradictions are becoming increasingly sharp and intensewhich causing widespread concern of society and government. Tianjin isone of the four municipalities of china and its economic development andurbanization process has a first-mover characteristics. With the faststep of the urbanization in this area, the number of landless farmers islarger and the type are increasingly complicated, especial the pensionproblem that many elder landless farmers facing is even more severe.Through professional theoretical and practical knowledge, socialworkers can help the elderly landless farmers out of the predicament theyare facing and alleviate the degree of inevitable damage of the policyimplementation. This is not only beneficial to this special group of theelderly landless farmers, but also conducive to the socio-economicdevelopment and contributing to social stability. There is importanttheoretical and practical significance in perfecting law of the development of urbanization, enriching the social pension policy anddeveloping the basis for guiding the endowment policyimplementation. With carrying out work for the elderly landless farmers,it will continue to make the theoretical and practical knowledge of socialwork about the elderly landless farmers localized, developed andenriched. There is also high practical significance for the social workthat as a practical discipline.In this research, the author who used a crisis intervention modelwork and the way that combinates the theoretical and empirical research,directly involved in the pension problems with cases interviews by theauthor and fully understanding and applying of the theoreticalknowledge. By Professional skills as well as integrating social resources,it can alleviate their physiological and psychological discomfort andhelp clients understand the reasons for the formation of their own pensionproblems, even make it has more ways and means of response to the crisisand help restore confidence.
