Study On Social Work Intervention Of The Youth Landless Peasants’ Employment Problem

Employment has a vital bearing on the people’s livelihood. Since the reform and opening-up policy, China’s industrialization and urbanization has developed rapidly, more and more farmers lost their lands. As the main force of landless and unemployed peasants, the youth, whose age from 20 to 35, has a serious problem of unemployment, which become a new focus of public. On the one hand, they lost the basic subsistence of the land to resist risks, on the other hand, due to constraints and intense pressure of labor-market competition, they were unable to find suitable jobs, thus, they are trapped into a landless and unemployment state. How to solve this part of the population, employment and re-employment problem, not only related to the stability of the region, but also related to the local economic development, people’s livelihood, it has become one of the key problems to be solved at all levels of government.Due to the core values and professional social work idea as the instruction, has an investigation for young peasants in X village of Changan District of Xi’an in November 2014. X village is located north of Xi’an city Changan District Shenhe Avenue, dueto the relocation of the university, city planning and highway construction project of large area of land in recent years, these leading to the village of X the emergence of a large number of young peasants. Although they are living in between urban and rural areas, but they are no longer the farmers in the traditional sense, also not in today’s society, the real significance of citizens, they have just between two embarrassing identity. Aiming at this situation, the social work intervention studies on the youth peasant’s urban employment difficult, find the existing problems and put forward corresponding countermeasures and suggestions, hoping to have certain reference significance to solve the problem of the youth peasant’s employment difficulties. In this paper, there are three main methods of investigation and study, it is respectively: questionnaire, depth interview method and literature analysis method. In X village survey collected during the data collection and case data mainly adopts questionnaire and depth interview method, and literature analysis mainly uses in the analysis and use for reference of previous scholars research results.Based on the collected data on the basis of the analysis, first of all, the statistics of the number of species and the way to realize the employment and occupation of the sample population; secondly, summing up our lost youth employment, reemployment city problems, including: full employment, unemployment, serious the stability is not high, the low level of their occupation and employment, entrepreneurship difficult psychological confusion in six categories; then, respectively analyze from farmers’ social objective reason and subjective problems of landless youth, through the typical case analysis in depth interviews, social work intervention in the youth employment problem of landless peasants in city, based on the analysis of reality to solve this dilemma problems existing at present and summarize the experience; finally, based on the perspective of social work, social policy, professional development, social work resources integrate three aspects puts forward some operable countermeasures to solve the problem of the employment of city population, to provide some suggestions to the problem difficult to solve employment, employment City groups of landless youth farmers.
