As a kind of psychological treatments emphasizing action, psychodrama has its unique technology and structure. At present, major researches on the psychodrama therapy are focused on the introduction of the theory and its outcomes, but few pay-attention to process and the effect. In addition, utilizing psychodrama technology on mental health in university is even less. This study attempts to use group intervention of psychodrama technology on college students’ depressive symptoms, in order to explore intervention effect of the psychodrama therapy on depression and provide reference materials for further related studies.This study divided into six parts, the first part is an introduction, including research background, current situation, significance and innovation. And then, pointed out that psychodrama therapy as a healthy and effective treatment can be applied to students’ mental health education, indicating the necessity of this study.The second part is literature review. First of all, this article reviews literature of Chinese and English on psychodrama. Secondly, introduces some existing methods of psychological treatment for depression, points out its advantages and disadvantages. Finally, the article summarizes the reason to choose psychodrama therapy for depression.The third part is research design. Based on the study of relevant theory and research, puts forward the research plan and research tools. Using psychodrama therapy for university students of depressive symptoms by empirical research, according to the pre-test-intervention-post-test analysis.The fourth part is the research results and analysis. This study uses depression symptom scale test to analyze changes in mood and behavior of the members of the group, and the evaluation results show that depressive symptoms of group members’ are significantly improved. Two months later, a return visit is implemented to evaluate the effects of the psychodrama therapy by filling out the group experience evaluation form. Consequently, the evaluation shows that the depressive emotion and the life attitude of the group members have been improved.The fifth part is the process of psychodrama typical case analysis. Pointed out which techniques of psychodrama influence the case, and how that happened.The sixth part is conclusion and discussion. This study summarizes the changes of group members during therapy, advantages of psychodrama to prevent depression problems of university students and the weakness during this research.
