High school stage is a critical period of life, students are facedwith a wide range of pressures and challenges, from the pressure oflearning, parents, teachers and society. The students’ psychologicaldevelopment is not yet ripe and they are prone to mood swings,followed by tension, anxiety and other negative emotions.However,some high school students do not want to communicate with teachersand parents, refused to recognize their own negative emotions ordeny that they have psychological problems.Academic performanceand negative emotions influence each other, creating a vicious circle,seriously affecting the healthy development of the high schoolstudents personality. Therefore, choosing a positive, active and fullrespect and trust intervention has become an integration point of thepainting therapy and school counseling.The painting each intervention treatment time is generally shorter,will not affect the normal learning of students; Secondly, the paintingtherapy through artistic creation is concealment and security, so that students downgrade psychological defense unconsciously andexpress their true thoughts. Third, the process of painting therapy isstudents catharsis process, providing them with a safe way toexpress their dissatisfaction, anger and other negative emotions.Thecreation of the painted mandala is unique from art therapy, we usestructural Mandala painting and creative Mandala two ways with highschool students against anxiety intervention, it is simple and feasible,and easy to operate. Meanwhile, in the process of the creation of themandala also contribute to the coordination of mental energy,self-understanding and integration opportunities for high schoolstudents, and reduce their anxiety levels effectively.In this paper, we use high school students in No.3secondary school inXi’an as research subjects, with the questionnaire method andexperimental analysis, and research painted mandala intervention onanxiety. Experimental analysis the following conclusions:1. Anxiety symptoms is in a certain proportion of high school students,and the higher the grade is, the higher the anxiety level is.2.Main anxiety symptoms for high school student are anxiety,depression, obsessive-compulsive, interpersonal sensitivity is a formof high school students anxiety which should be given full attention.3.Through painting intervention, high school students get a morepositive attitude,mental energy and more perfect self-integration. 4.Through self-understanding and consolidation Painting interventionprovides a good social support system for high school students, aswell as stimulate high school students’ creativity effectively andrelieve anxiety.
