| The main subject of previous study researches of foreign language learning are language knowledge itself and the skill of using it, but now, student’s motivation in language learning also becomes an important part to deal with. Learning motivation is not only a complicated psychological phenomenon that affects foreign language learners in their study, but also an important element that has direct influence on their study result. In the light of both domestic and overseas literatures in this field as a reference, this thesis attempts to investigate and analyze the Indonesian Mandarin learners’motivation using questionnaire. In order to obtain a dynamic knowledge of Indonesian Mandarin learner’s situation in different periods, classroom observation is also adopted as one of the research methods. The ultimate target of this thesis is to discover the Mandarin learning motivation and features of Indonesian junior high students, to analyze the relevant elements that affect their learning motivation, and then propose some corresponding instructional strategies and suggestions so as to increase the current quality of Chinese as a foreign language (CFL) teaching in Indonesia. |
