| With The Popularization of The Physical education curriculum teaching guidelines ofnational college and further development of TCM colleges and universities’ physical educationteaching reform, sports teaching has gradually formed a education process of cultivating thelifelong sports consciousness and carry forward Chinese traditional culture around health first,people-oriented. The current national ordinary university sports teaching mode gives priority tosports elective courses, and the purpose of sports elective courses is to strengthen one of sportsskill learning according to the major needs and future work to the needs of the body which isbased on college students’ comprehensive physical exercise, so that graduates can be oftenengaged in jobs concerned with sports fitness, traditional health sports, entertainment sports andsports activities after entering the society. Liaoning university of Chinese medicine has began toimplement the teaching of sports elective course since2003,through9years of teaching practice,although some achievements have been made, problems still exists in the concreteimplementation process, and the teaching quality is influenced in a certain degree.This study to Liaoning university of traditional Chinese medicine has a total of300researchtarget, including male and female college students in three professionals traditional Chinesemedicine, acupuncture and massage, Chinese medicine, it carries on in-depth investigation andanalysis focused on the current situation of sports elective course features with the method ofliterature data and questionnaire survey, in purpose of entirely knowing the status quo of theelective course teaching in Liaoning university of Chinese medicine, finding existing problemsand analysing of influencing factors reasonablely, the study concluds:1The physical education classes at the Liaoning University of Traditional Chinese Medicineare divided into compulsory course, elective course, seasonal course, theory course and healthcare course. The compulsory course is recognized as sports specialty curriculum of theuniversity.2The sports elective course of Liaoning university of traditional Chinese medicine adoptsartificial way, only independent choice of teachers and sports are available, and doesn’t fullyimplement independent course in three aspects.3The willingness to sports option class at the Liaoning University of Traditional ChineseMedicine shows diversification development. The willingness of top three in turn is interests,enhanced physique and following fellow’s selection. 4The sports option class at the Liaoning University of Traditional Chinese Medicine hassuch problems as the class hour and teaching content are less than normal number, sports venues(museum) and facilities equipment are lack, the sports elective way is not reasonable, the collegestudents’ sports foundation is poor and so on.Finally, in this paper, the targeted suggestions for status quo and problems of sports electivecourse characteristics in Liaoning university of traditional Chinese medicine are carried out,which includes: sports venues (hall) construction used to meet the teaching needs should begradually improved; They should strengthen the construction of the teaching staff, improveteachers’ quality continuously; They should coordinate relevant departments, improve theelective system; Traditional health sports should be riched. |
